Fizik is the phoenetic spelling of “physique”, which represents the focus that this company has on fitting the human body. Although Fizik is one of the newer Italian companies, formed in 1996, it has very quickly earned a place in the upper echelon of saddle makers worldwide with its innovative high performance designs.

The core foundation for the Fizik lineup is the “Spine Concept”. Once you understand your spine’s basic capabilities then you will know which Fizik saddle family is right for you. It then becomes an exercise in selecting which options you want within that family.

If you can touch your hands to your toes with ease, you are a Snake and the Arione is the right saddle for you. If you can touch your toes without major stress, you are a Chameleon and the Antares should be your selection. Finally, if you are limited by how far you can bend at the waist then you are a Bull and the Aliante is your recommendation.

Fizik Technologies & Innovations

Wing Flex (Inner Shell)

Wing Flex saddles will flex at the points where the inner thighs meet the saddle. This allows for more natural movement while maintaining optimal support.


Twin Flex (Inner Shell)

The inner shell has two densities. The outer section is directional carbon fiber, and the inner section is a more flexible carbon/kevlar weave. This produces a very light and stiff saddle that does not sacrifice comfort.


CX (Weight)

Denotes less padding and narrower stitch spacing to save weight.


Carbon Braided (Rails)

Carbon braided rails that save weight. There is no rider weight limit on Fizik carbon braided railed saddles.


K:IUM (Rails)

K:IUM is a tubular steel alloy that is incredibly light, stiff, and strong.

Integrated Clip System (Accessories)

Most Fizik saddles feature an Integrated Clip System where you can quickly and easily attach a range of accessories without fiddling with straps or cords.

Cyrano Seatpost

The Cyrano seatpost, new this year, is an amazing evolution of the standard seatpost. With a longer lower clamp and shorter upper clamp not only does this seatpost handle an incredibly wide selection of saddle rails, but it has more adjustability front and rear as well.

The Cyrano is available in lengths of 270, 350, and 400 mm, and diameters of 27.2, 30.9, 31.6. and 34.9 mm.
