Winter riding for many in the Northwest means bundling up in weatherproof gear, and for others it means bringing out the indoor trainer. Indoor trainers are great for staying in shape during our wetter months, but they’re also good as part of a year-round training program for busy people that can’t always find the time to get out for a full ride.
Modern trainers come in three varieties: Magnetic, Fluid, and Rollers.
We also sell CycleOps Indoor Cycles that are a complete package, including the 300 and 400 models that have PowerTap logic built in.

We also strongly recommend the use of the Continental Hometrainer tire for winter use. Not only does your training experience feel better, but it really does result in less wear and tear on both your bike and the trainer.

Continental Ultra Sport Hometrainer
Thanks to its special cold-running compound, the UltraSport Hometrainer doesn´t experience the heat buildup of a road tire, nor does it suffer the tread separation that the road tire is prone to under the special loads occurring when in cycling and braking on the roller´s revolving drums. The UltraSport Hometrainer has been designed explicity for rollers and is not suitable for on road use.
