Wilier Triestina, more commonly known as just “Wilier”, is one of the oldest Italian bicycle manufacturers. The name itself is pronounced vil-ee-air’ (see our
FAQ for a note about pronounciation) which doesn’t sound very Italian, but there is an interesting story behind that. The popular patriotic saying “Viva Italia Libera E Redenta” which means “Long live Italy, Free and Redeemed” can be abbreviated as “Wilier”.
Although not a household name in America (yet), Wilier is actually one of the largest and well known bicycle manufacturers in Europe. Angelo Cilli and his family have personally overseen the launch and distribution of the brand in the US, and the brand has seen strong growth every year for the past decade as Wilier becomes less of a secret and more of an established mainstream name as it is in its home country.
Veloce Velo is a Wilier Pro Shop, and is the exclusive Wilier dealer for Western Washington. We love how well these bikes ride, how beautiful they look, and how they are actually great value as well. The signature ride is light and quick, balanced perfectly between comfort and performance.
A Wilier is the right bike for you when:
- You don’t want to trade comfort for performance, or vice versa
- You want a bike with beautiful Italian design lines

Cento Uno
In 2007 Wilier released the Cento in celebration of its hundredth anniversary (cento means hundred in Italian). With its radically sloping geometry and absolutely massive bottom bracket, the Cento was a monster in nearly every category. The Cento Uno is the evolutionary step forward, with a more traditional geometry and even more excitement. This frame is well proven on the race circuit, with World Champion, Tour de France, and many other Pro Tour victories notched on its belt.
The Cento Uno comes in two variants: regular and SuperLeggera (superlight).
Frameset Price: $3,999
Upgrades Available: SuperLegerra ($4,999)
Recommended Build Kit: Campagnolo Super Record gruppo with 3T LTD components, Fulcrum Racing Zero wheels |

Imperiale
The Imperiale is the direct result of Wilier’s work with aerodynamics expert John Cobb. It has a number of wind-cheating improvements on nearly every tube, and this is noticable as soon as you ride it.
This bike is perfect for riders who are competing in triathlons and road races but don’t want a full-blown aerodynamic rig. It’s also a wonderful choice for enthusiasts who just want to go fast.
Complete Bike: $3,899 (with Shimano Ultegra 6700)
Frameset Price: $2,899 |

Gran Turismo
The newest model from Wilier, with design cues taken from both the Imperiale and Cento Uno. Included in the build is a sharp looking FSA component package that was specifically designed for the Gran Turismo. We have high expectations as Wilier haven’t done anything but impress us with their new releases.
We are first in line in the country for these bikes, so please contact us if you’d like reserve one in advance. We don’t believe that the Gran Turismo will be equipped exactly like the picture, it will likely have Shimano Ultegra components and Fulcrum wheels when it hits US shores.
Complete Bike: TBD (expected to be below $4,000 as a complete package)

Izoard
The major cycling magazines have written extensively about the “plush” category of bicycle. We find that the bikes that fall into this category tend to be more boring than anything else, even the ones that receive all the accolades. Don’t get us wrong, we believe that most of our customers are best suited to this category of bike but we also believe that they don’t have to settle for lifeless and boring. The Izoard is our favorite cure for this.
The Izoard has been our number one selling bicycle since we opened three years ago. Many customers come in looking for a different brand and the Izoard catches their eye. During the test ride, they quickly see that this bike rides just as good as it looks. Come in and ride one, and you’ll see exactly what all the buzz is about.
The Izoard is available in red and silver colors, and we have a few blue framesets left. We also have an XS Mimosa, which is the Izoard with a more feminine paint scheme.
Complete Bike: $3,300 (with Shimano Ultegra 6700)
Frameset Price: $1,999
