Tires

Tires are your connection to the road. There’s no quicker and easier way to change the ride characteristics of your bike than to change your tires. Profile, pattern, technology, contruction and materials all dictate the key variables: cornering, grip, durability, feel and flat protection. We can help you analyze your priorities to select the best tires for your need. We carry a selection of tubular and clincher tires, as well as Road Tubeless versions.

Continental

Proven durability, design, and performance for any type of cyclist in any condition. Continental has developed the best combination of feel and durability available on the market. The Grand Prix 4 Season and Grand Prix 4000 series are our best sellers. We also key on the Sprinter as a workhorse, reasonably priced tubular.

Hutchinson

Along with Shimano, Hutchinson pioneered Road Tubeless and provides most of the tire options (even those under other brand names) available today. The Intensive and Fusion 3 are the key players, with the Atom favored for road racing. We also carry the Bulldog during cross season.

Schwalbe

Known for their Marathon series durability tires, Schwalbe actually does a fantastic job with their road tires, working the rubber durometer and multi- compound approach to tire construction. Ultremo series tires, especially the Aqua (for obvious reasons), and the new low rolling resistance ZX drive our dedicated Scwhalbe customers.

Vittoria

Psst! Open tubular means ‘clincher’. Perhaps the best riding clincher tires available, in several styles and patterns come from the Open Corsa line. Grip, feel, resistance and cornering capability define the ride of the OC series. Developed from the Corsa tubular tires, the Open Corsa’s are widely chosen by those who loved tubulars, but want the convenience of clinchers. The drawback is less durability, but the Open Pave is available with a heavier casing for off season training. Our top tubular tire IS the Corsa CX, in both 21 and 23 casings.
