Saddles

Saddles…Out of sight, out of mind? When most people are riding their eyes are focused on the road ahead and their mind is thinking about what the legs are doing. With a good saddle that is properly fit to your body type, you can forget about adding “managing the pain in my rear” to that list. After all, your posterior is the contact point where you keep the majority of your mass in direct contact with your bike.

We actively recommend and stock a wide selection from the three premier Italian saddle brands and complement these with a traditional leather saddle, and something a little different. Although we have tested a lot of the newer, trendier designs these industry veterans show us year after year why they continue to keep the lead in both performance and value.

- Brooks: Durable. Firm. Leather. Timeless. Brooks.

- Fizik: The “younger brother” of the major Italian brands, but never left behind. Fizik stepped to the fore in the last decade, and immediately charged towards the front. Innovative designs, excellent options and high quality. You will find Fizik saddles on a high percentage of pro bikes these days.

- Selle Italia: The name says it all. More enthusiasts and pro’s ride Selle Italia saddles than any other brand. These Italian made saddles evolved from pure race versions to sizes and styles to fit men and women of all levels, shapes and preferences.

- Selle San Marco: Known for pure race inspired designs, but with options that favor most cyclists, SSM has long favored cyclists who desire a firmer, narrower saddle concept.

- WTB: Born from mountain bike experience, translated to all purpose and road, WTB was using a split channel design before it came into vogue. Designed to lift and support the sit bones, with less soft tissue making contact with the saddle. Not for every body, but some people won’t ride anything else.
